I’m doing a chemistry lab. It’s driving me crazy.

Percent?
Units the degree of uncertainty is desribing?

Percent error? “Validity issue”? “Somewhat uncertain”? Margin of error?

It depends on what you are measuring, of course.

For example, if you had temperature in your calculation and the thermometer read to the +/- 0.1 ºC, then you would use those units. If in doubt, ask your teacher.

To use uncertainty you have to change all the different uncertainties (ml, ºC, kJ, etc) into percentages. Then you add all the % uncertainty together. Take your final value, and use this in combination with the total % uncertainty, and voila! you have uncertainty in whatever units the final value should be in.

ur dumb. there is obviously no unidt of measure for DEGREE! of uncertainty.

“There are 36 degrees uncertainty pertaining to this portion of the lab due to the fact that the solution was not heated properly…”
