Is there a way to get out of staying on campus?

I live just above the “local admission area” that they call it, and I live close enough that I can drive there (it’d take about 45 minutes), but the website says that everyone who lives outside it must stay on campus. Is there a way to get out of this? Does anyone know anyone who has done something like this? Is there like an appeal process or something

No, you cannot get out of it.
If your school is north of the 56, and you apply to SDSU, you are required to live on campus, and you sign that you will live on campus.
Otherwise, you need to apply to San Marcos.
