Is there a website for recruiting for the 98%?

Hey there,

I’ve seen websites like MaxPreps and 247Sports but it seems those are not for the 98%. What I mean by that is less than 2% of high school athletes will go NCAA Division 1. Are there recruiting websites for the 98%? For recruits who will most likely go mid-major and low-major Division 1, D2, D3, NAIA and others?

Thank you.

Hey there, the websites below are decent places to start. Don’t pay for any of their services, utilize their free options. Also, create a separate recruiting email that you use for these websites because they will never stop trying to sell you something.

I’d also advise to not pay for a recruiting service. This CC community has a lot of experienced parents who can help. And it’s free!

So much depends on the sport and whether one is on a travel team, or attending showcase events or invitational/ regional or national events.

Put differently, OP, we might have better ideas for you with a bit more information - sport, competitive level, and year, plus any other relevant goals.

Echoing the others who said you don’t need a recruiting company to help you.

Students can handle their own recruiting by contacting coaches, having good highlight film, and using twitter (somewhat sport dependent). What year are you and what sport?

Coaches do NOT prefer recruiting services. They would rather speak directly with candidate. Not hard to contact a ton of schools.
There is definitely someone here who has a student/is a student who does your sport.

The people at recruiting firms are very annoying like headhunters, or maybe more like used car salesmen
