Is there an academic cap in the admissions process?

<p>This might be a stupid question… but do academics help only to a certain point?</p>

<p>E.G. Do they care about the difference between a 4.0 and a 3.95?</p>

<p>Between a 2400 and a 2350?</p>

<p>Between #1 and #4?</p>

<p>Or do they basically check that you have a strong academic background, and then look at your ECs?</p>

<p>I’m almost certain that they won’t care about a 2400 over a 2350. The GPA and rank may matter a bit more in relation to the SAT score.</p>
