Is there an app or something where someone can create a fake FB message or PM conversation?

A friend of mine has been a recent victim of some sort of fake Facebook Private Message conversation.

She found out that someone created what appears to be a screenshot of a FB PM conversation between her and another person (who she has LONG blocked… a person who owes her a good bit of money, but it got very ugly).

She contacted FB and was told that the messages did not get sent thru their system, so very likely faked.

I’ve seen the screenshot of the fake PM Convo. The little circles with her profile pic are there, and it truly looks like a back and forth conversation.

Scary that this can happen.

Is anyone here aware of some app or something where someone can create a fake convo like this?

More likely someone made a fake facebook page with her name and picture and had the conversation with the blocked person. That’s a well-known thing that’s been going on for years.

I just googled and there are some sites to make these fake convos. Ugh. awful

One of the things she can do is to make it so that her facebook is in absolutely no way public. That way no one can search for her, use her current picture, etc unless they’re friends. Of course, the only way that would completely work is if she got rid of all of their mutual friends, but it’s a start.
