You can read the graphic novel Persepolis in an hour to an hour and a half. I (unexpectedly) liked it - a unique memoir. You can then throw in your two cents - or more. You don’t have to finish (or even start) both books.

I liked it so much I went and read her followup as well.

Not part of the book club, but chiming in - Persepolis is fantastic and well worth your (short) time.
