I’m transferring to a four year college in Fall 2010. (Currently in a CC.) I’ve started doing portions of the online applications of the schools I’m applying to so when my latest tax information and grades are available (both in December or maybe early January for taxes) I’ll be able to complete them quickly.

One college I’m applying to actually didn’t ask for any income information, nor did it ask for my GPA from my current school. Basically, I could complete the application right now if I felt like it. But what are the advantages/disadvantages to doing so? Will I get more/less financial aid by completing it now? Is it common to complete applications before the FAFSA is available?
