Is there any chance I could get merit aid at Cal Berkeley?

-250 hours volunteering at Voices Together, a camp for autistic youth
-Hosted a dinner benefit in October of 2009, raised $800 for the Autism Research Institute
-One year of varsity golf</p>

-Math Student of the Year (10th grade)
-Chemistry Student of the Year (10th and 11th grade)
-National Merit (notification of status in September)</p>

<p>There is certainly a chance, but the amounts are generally not large in comparison to the full out of state cost of attendance. I.e. don’t get your hopes up too high about getting a scholarship that will bring the cost of attendance down to anywhere near that of UVa / VT / W&M.</p>

<p>Wow, you have amazing stats. You could probably get something. Might not be much or even enough, but I think you could get some money.</p>

<p>Thanks. I really love the location and the academic programs, but I was just wondering if it was realistic financially. Good to know that the answer to that is probably no.</p>
