is there any downside...

to sending applications for nomination letters in this early (i.e. this week)
The reason I ask is one of the senator’s office whom i called to verify the proper mailing address said to wait until late spring-early summer to do it

I dont think there is a downside at all. If anything it shows your enthuisasm and shows that this is a priority. I sent a letter about a week ago and many did at the begginning of march. It cant hurt to get it done with early.

2 congressman gave me the address, however one gave me the address and said to wait until late spring/early summer…maybe they don’t accept them until then?
So I’ll just send those two then wait for late spring to send the other
does that sound good?

My congressman’s staff said it doesn’t bmake one bit of a difference too them how early your application is. He said they toss them all in a box and don’t open any of them till the day after the deadline, so whether you turned yours in in March or the day before the deadline they’re not going to know the difference. I have a feeling my senators are going to be about the same too.

I’ll probably wait till I get back from the Summer Seminars to turn them in so I can reflect on them in my essays.

Also, I would visit other colleges and make sure you still want to go to West Point because the whole application process is really a hassle.

thanks guys
ya WP is one of my top choices, as of now, but I also have many other colleges on my list to apply to as well
