@peachysoo, student visas aren’t exactly directly affected by the virus (and that’s not really what I was saying), though virus-related travel restrictions may play into delays in getting visas, and that can have rippling effects.
What I was saying is that COVID-19 is affecting admission decisions in multiple ways, differently at different schools, boarding and college. Just for one example, colleges have to think hard, as they prepare to make offers, about beds available or NOT available in 20-21 because of potential changes to study abroad numbers. For another single example, boarding schools have had to be realistic about what populations of students may or may not be able to attend in 20-21.
I don’t have any answers about what, if any, decisions will be made or changed because of all this at any given school, but it is definitely factoring into RD college decisions, and it has factored into M10 boarding school offers too.
