<p>It’s probably worth your while to retake the standardized tests, but if you can get good recommendations attesting to your academic ability and write compelling essays I think you can get in.</p>
<p>Chicago is looking primarily for two things in a student. First, they want you to be able to articulate exactly why you want to go to Chicago. If you fell in love with the school this shouldn’t be a problem, just try to be as clear as possible. Second, they want to be able to come up with a compelling story. Your grades are important – mostly because very low ones point to problems absent a good explanation – but not nearly as important as recommendations and your essays.</p>
