Is there any hope?

<p>My mom just noticed a fraudulent charge on her debit card she receives child support on for $473.63. The charge occurred at an ATM in Canada – we live in Indiana. </p>

<p>She is in the process of contacting her bank and reporting the charge/canceling her card. Has anyone dealt with this before, and what is the likelihood she could get her money back? Also, how would she go about filing a police report if the charge took place in another country? </p>
