Is there any hope

Im a waitlisted applicant from Oman< indian citizen though>.
I just read an earlier post saying that some guy got a princeton reply to some query, which stated that they didnt know whether they were going to use the waitlist at all.This was dated 5th May.
All I want to know is that, realistically, is there any hope for waitlisted applicants, what with this year being the most competitive ever?
I mean, there isnt any use in getting your hopes up, only to have them crushed right?</p>

<p>don’t raise you hopes much. Last year there was no movement in the waitlist. Also, the waitlists are used to fill some specific holes the school may have.</p>
