Would it make any sense to include an extracurricular activity on an application if you have no formal dedication to it or have not practiced it competitively? For example, I’m an avid drummer and have been drumming for 3 years, but have little more than a regional Guitar Center drum-off win to show for it. I also play golf, and go to the range once a week. I can drive 250+ yards but have not joined my school’s golf team or any sort of league.

Should I mention either of these activities?
