Is there any reason to retest on the ACT? Or to even take SAT?

I took the act for the first time in April and got a 35 composite (34 e, 35 m, 33 r, 35 s) and a 10 on writing. I’m beyond ecstatic with my score. My other stats are good, except that I didn’t take the most rigorous course load (I took honors but no APs until senior year.) Is there any reason to even take the ACT again or the SAT? I really don’t think I could score higher on the sat (I got a 212 on my PSAT) and unless I’m a nmsf, I don’t see any reason to spend another Saturday testing. Is there any reason you can think of for me to retest? I’m aiming for elite schools (northwestern, carnegie mellon) as well as some local schools that would give me great financial aid. Thanks!

As far as I can tell, no, you should not retest either the ACT or SAT. You have nearly a perfect score that is equivalent to between 2290–2370 on the SAT according to the Official ACT website (http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/estimate.html</a>). Congratulations on your score!

Is that a 35 composite?

You are done with the ACT. Do something else with your weekend!

The SAT? Take it only if you are NM. Whether or not you are will depend on your state.

Isn’t that a 34?

Your composite score is 34… either way, you don’t need to re-take your ACT.
