Is there any reason to take SAT again if my ACT score is far superior?

Quick rundown:

I took SAT in November 2013
I took ACT in December 2013

I studied the heck out of SAT, practice test after practice test
I looked at one ACT practice test, and didn’t even finish it

Felt ultra confident during SAT
I had an anxiety attack during the science section of ACT

SAT: 670/680/680 (M/CR/W)
ACT: 32 composite cannot remember subscores off the top of my head.

I am signed up this June for the SAT II tests and ACT for a second try.
Is there ANY reason I should try to get my SAT score up when my ACT is far superior?

Do any schools look at both and not ONLY consider the higher of the two?
I’m specifically looking at the higher ups: MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Harvey Mud (I don’t need a lecture on ballpark and safety schools, I got that. I am just giving you an idea of my goals)

I understand my SAT is pretty darn low for those schools, but my ACT seems in the ballpark. Should I forget SAT I and just focus on SAT II and ACT, or is there something I’m missing?

Thanks a ton! Sorry, I meant to keep this concise but I sort of failed

Your instincts are correct - focus on the ACT.

^^ Ditto.

If you got an ACT score with minimal preparation that is higher than your SAT score with heavy preparation, then it makes sense to retry the ACT rather than retry the SAT. Your heavily prepared SAT score is probably at the high end of what you might get on the SAT, while there is likely more potential from preparation available to you on the ACT.

https://www.act.org/aap/concordance/pdf/reference.pdf</a> says that a 32 ACT is equivalent to a 2120 or range of 2080-2130 SAT (compare to your actual SAT of 2030).

Just make sure you take the ACT with essay.
