Hey everyone: I’m Canadian, so I’m pretty unfamiliar to anything SAT-related. I just got the book. I got a 1910 on my first Kaplan diagnostic test (timed as directed). That was without any studying or anything. Is 1910 a decent score? I was weakest in Math, so I’ll be focusing on that, leading up to when I take it in October. Can I bring my 560 in Math up to a 650+, if I learn how to solve the questions through the book and Khan Academy, etc? Thanks.

You should use the official CollegeBoard guide (the Blue Book) since it has several real past exams. Those are the best to estimate how you’ll do on the real thing. For preparation, you should go through the pinned topics in the SAT Prep forum - specifically, look at xiggi’s guide and silverturtle’s guide. Work through that and you should be able to boost that score. No idea how Kaplan exams compare to the real thing but it’s probably not close.

Well I got 1800 or so when I took a Barrons diagnostic test and in the real SAT I got a 2070 superscore (2030 first) but Barrons has a rep for being tough.

There are a lot better ways to learn math than Dr. Khan’s videos. Try reading PWN the SAT, the Black Book by Mike Barrett (mostly for strategy), books by regular CC contributors Steve Warner Philip Keller and/or Grubers. Use SATQuantum’s website to review problems from official tests. There are also a lot of great math threads on CC.
