Is there any way to change my enrollment appointment?

It’s on December 9th, 10 days after registration begins, which means I won’t get into ANY of the classes I want to take because they’re popular and will be filled quickly.

Tips? Advice? What do I do in this situation?

I don’t think there’s any way to change your appointment time, unfortunately. Mine’s not that much earlier than yours (Wednesday December 8th in the evening) and I’m a sophomore! As bland as this advice probably is, the only thing I suggest is to have at least 1 or 2 backup schedules in case your first ones don’t work out.

Nice name. But think about sharpe ratio… the better classes you choose, the more the risk you take for it being filled before you get to register… hahahah

You’ll be fine. Every freshman is starting when you do first of all. Second of all you aren’t trying to get into the same classes as Sophomores and up (for the most part). And finally they work it like a rolling enrollment (like with orientation) so you don’t have to worry about something filling up before u get a chance)

^You sure as hell have to worry about classes filling up before you get a chance. That happens to me every single semester.

I got the 2nd at 11am so I am just crossing my fingers. This will be my last semester and some of the courses I want have >10 seats.

I heard for freshman classes, its more of the times you want filling up, and not the actual class.

And good thing your class has >10 seats, <10 would suck. (unless I’m reading that wrong)

I wrote it wrong. lol. I sat and thought about it, too. I was sleepy. >.<

What is the last day of enrollment - I have December 10 and I am a freshmen?

Last year, the last day of registration was the 3rd Monday after Thanksgiving Break, so probably Monday December 13th?

the latest I’ve heard of is the 13th, some Indian kid came in complaining to the EAC today about how its not fair and he has 26 credits coming in and how he’ll miss out on the classes he wants and blah blah blah. I came in with the same amout and I’m the 9th so I guess I won the lottery

That is impossible MLD, if he complains his will be pushed back to the 9th for sure. It has to be in credit order

I’m a “freshman” and I’m on the 6th. I have a lot of credits though, and likely will be competing with sophomores and juniors for seats more than freshmen.

I don’t think its really in that much of a credit order. They break it into groups and then do those groups in order my credits. Within the groups though its random. Like I said he had 26 coming in + what he’s taking this year and he’s the 13th. I have 26 + what I am taking this year and have the 9th.

My guess is that the person in question didn’t make sure his AP credits transferred to Michigan, because there’s no way in hell that someone with 26 credits BEFORE starting college should be registering on the last day.

Yea because I have 21 credits coming in plus only 13 this semester and I’m on the 9th

dude IDK, I just don’t think the windows are that small, ex. 0-40 credits 13th - 9th,

I was on the same boat as him credit wise and I AM the 9th, so he just got unlucky I think

Here is a link to how they divide the credit hours into 27 blocks; it should be self-explanatory:

[Knowledgebase - Office of the Registrar](Knowledge Base)

When I was a freshman I got my registration date for winter pushed back a day because the registrar’s office did not have my credits from AP Chem on my transcript. After I got it all worked out with them my reg date in wolverine access was updated in a day or so.

I don’t remember exactly what my days were but I think I went from the second to last day to the third to last day :P
