Is there hope?

Hey, I’m a rising senior and will be applying soon.

I visited Illinois and I really want to go there but there is just one problem: my gpa.

I have a 3.4 UW and 3.75 W at a top 100 hs in NJ.

2200 SAT (800M, 670CR, 730 W)

Above average ECs

Great Recommendations (one from a princeton professor who taught me about electrical engineering @ my internship)

Great essays (already done)

I reallllly want to go to Illinois for engineering, i screwed up freshman year b/c i had no idea how important it was…I was freakin 12 years old for the first 2 months of freshman year (a year ahead of everyone)…be as honest as u can

Your GPA is quite low for engineering and you should consider it a reach but worth a try if you actually have upward trend in grades from freshman year and because of high SAT. Recommendation letters are not wanted and, if sent, those who make admission decisions will not see them or know they were sent.
