Is there light at the end of my tunnel?

Hi I’m new to this website. I have a couple of concerns concerning my acceptance to colleges. I am really interested in UC’s and a couple of out-of-states; however, I do not have such hot grades. My freshman year I took all honors classes but received a gpa of 2.7. Sophomore year (a year that really counts) I took all honors classes and one AP and received a weighted gpa of 3.7; however I received a 2 on the AP exam. That same year I received a grade of C in my honors chemistry class but I am planning to re-take the summer course at a community college to replace it with an A. At present, I am about to end my 1st semester of junior year (the most important!) and I am taking 4 AP classes, Academic Decathalon, choir, and Honors Spanish 3. My weighted gpa is most probably going to end up being either a 3.9, a 4.0, or 4.2 depending on how well I perform on my finals. I plan to take an SAT class for a month and will take the test for my first time in Spring. I have high aspirations but unfortunately I was a big procrastinator. I am very astute and I know I have the potential to become a great student, yet my laziness hinders me. I plan to make the best of the next semester and do well on my SAT; however my gpas concern me very much. I hope to major in biochemistry and minor in Spanish. College is my dream and I hope it is not too late to chase it.Thanks for your time!

By the way my extracurriculars include:

  • volunteering at my neighborhood hospital
    -playing piano for 7 years
    -dedicated tennis player
-President and creator of Environmental Club
-member of 3 other community service clubs at my school

go for the gold, brother. But make sure you can accurately portray yourself on your application, they don’t just want to see somebody smart, they want to see somebody who would definitely add to the community.

A light? The light at the end of the tunnel is GOD, not Stanford. Go for that. Probably not a christian god btw, more like all of “existent” consciousness.
