IS THERE A POINT or Should I JUST THROW THE APP OUT??? should i consider retaking those two awful tests in jan? or should i retake my Is? i kno georgetown accepts jan test scores?? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

PLEASE REPLY!!! I have no idea what to do

people must hate me on this thread cause when i post anything i seem to be the only one replying to my own threads…

you’re in the running. just apply and see what will happen

First of all, be patient! You posted this today- people usually don’t respond immediately. Second, the hysterical phrases like “IS THERE A POINT or Should I JUST THROW THE APP OUT??” tend to discourage feedback. Try typing without the caps lock on next time and see if you have better luck.

Anyway, of course you have a shot. However, your SAT I’s are pretty low for Gtown, and while your writing score is awesome, your other SAT II’s aren’t so hot. I know that there was a bubbling problem, but I wouldn’t count on Georgetown accepting your excuse. Your EC’s will defnitely help you, especially the JSA thing. Georgetown looks very closely at ranks, so do you at least know what percentile you’re in? Oh, and just to let you know, being Jewish won’t help.

Anyway good luck and definitely don’t through out your app! In all honesty I think your chances are a on the low side, but it’s still worth a shot.

thanks sorry about freaking i have just been so frantic lately…thanks for the reply…i am actually thinking of retaking those two IIs in jan…hopefully it will work out! Ooo somebody told me about the jewish thing…i honestly have no clue how it works! I do have a question do u think i should retake my Is? or those two messed up IIs? I go to a reallly competitive school so we don’t rank we instead put people in quartiles and I am in the first quartile.

I got in with a 1400 which isn’t much higher. Admissions is a pretty fickle thing but you’ll never know unless you try.

Don’t bother retaking IMO…just write nice essays and nail your interview.

imo?? thanks i hope i really do have a chance…georgetown would be great but i have been so depressed ever since my awful results (i knew it was going to be bad but not this bad!!)
