Hi!
I’m an Egyptian SAT student. I heard from many teachers that there’s something called SAT Average in which the CollegeBoard takes an average score of a test if you get a very high SAT score after a low one. I doubt that because my sister used to take SAT for multiple times and CollegeBoard didn’t take an average score of her tests. Can you please tell me whether is there anything called average score of your scores?
I think that what you may be referring to is “Super Scoring” which is when the schools will take your top score from each section, even if those scores were from different test sittings, and put them together.
@uesmomof2 NO, that’s not what i mean…
Those teachers say that for example when someone gets for example 500 in a March test, and then gets 800 in May test. Will Collegeboard calculate an average of the two test which will be 650 and release this score instead of the 800?
No.
@uesmomof2 Are you sure?
I have gone to 5 to 10 presentations about the SAT by various test prep companies and I have never heard anyone talk about this but why don’t you look at the College Board website?. https://sat.collegeboard.org/home
@nouraosama98 there is no “averaging” of scores. Some colleges super score, though.
@MITer94 what does super score mean
@nouraosama98 please see post #1 from this thread.
