i got about 8 or 9 B’s in honors classes throughout freshman and sophomore year but I’ve been on an upward trend and I’ve gotten all A’s this year (i’m a junior) including all A’s in every AP class since 9th (i guess i try harder in these haha). is there still a way to get into yale next year? i’m in the lower top 10% but i’ve wanted to go to yale since forever and i’m strongly considering applying ED and trust me, when i say i have passion, it seriously means i have passion. next year i’ll be taking 4 AP’s and I with some hard work i think i could defenitly get into the top 5% but those numbers wouldn’t be in until about january so should i apply RD? in leadership i’m vice-president of spanish club, a world affairs council board member and captain of the school golf team. thank you for any help!

Always go for what you want. With Bs in your freshman and sophomore year is a big disadvantage. Try very very hard in school and in SATs. Plus you better have a good explanation why so many Bs. Good luck

actually i just counted up my classes and it’s only 7, but oh well what a big difference. but still, in a situation like this, what could possible be a “good explanation”? oh i forgot to mention my SAT score, it’s a 2280 first time i took it and i’m thinking about even re-taking it.
