is there such thing as petition to get your money back?

I’m taking 25 credits this semester and is doing great in all my classes, but except for one. I was doing great at the beginning. But then the class switched instructor and the new instructor is a havoc. He does not teaches, he just go through the section really quick and made us do examples. and his grading scheme is out of this earth, for an example: he asked us to prove a question and I proved it and showed all my work, but i didn’t explain how i got there (he wants you to write down the steps) so he took half of the points off. Anyways, his teaching style and his grading scheme is killing me. with the old instructor i got all As and now Cs and Bs. I want to petition to get my money for that class back and/or i can drop the class without a W on my transcript. do I stand a chance?

Also, he has this bad ascent and I could not understand a thing.

…Then you didn’t really show all your work, did you? That’s pretty par for the course.

If you’re so worried, drop the class through the normal channels. A W isn’t that bad.

i showed all the work. for an example prove that an equation A is equal to equation B. I did all the prove but i didn’t write out like (i got here because a/b or I got here because of i take a out) to every line. I just do them, even if I showed all my work. I hope you understand what I’m trying to convey here.

plus, i work hard for the money for college and i think it is unfair for the course to switched instructor and messed everything up.

In general, I have never heard of any U that guarantees a particular instructor for any particular course or the entire duration of a course.

Many Us cap students at 18 credits per term and charge more if students exceed that load. I doubt you’d get a refund but would seriously think of taking a W if you’re finding it that difficult to take with this new instructor.
