My student is applying OOS to UNCC, hoping to be selected as.a Levine Scholar. My question is this: If you are an OOS student, are the weekends lonely? I don’t think he’d do well if half the kids leave on Friday and come back Sun night.
Might I suggest you contact admissions and ask to speak with some student advisors.
Or if you plan a visit, stop kids on campus and ask.
Lots of housing - but if you’re a regional school, in the population area of the state (and all large population areas are with 2.5 hours), you’ll have kids going home - but that’s no different than even a UGA.
You also have 20% that appear to be 25+ - although perhaps that includes grad students? You can ask admissions.
But ask to speak to kids. Or go to the school and do so yourself - just stop em on campus. Nothing beats that - first hand info.
Good luck.
