<p>i originally wanted to apply to about three or four, because the stupid app fees add up, but i’ve narrowed it down to six schools- </p>
<p>utsa, tx state both in state for me bleh. stupid texas…
coppin state- safety school because i’d have a full ride
soka- the study abroad program and emphasis on pacifism and buddhist principles are very appealing to me
brown-ridiculous reach school. but i still will apply and hope for the best! what appeals to me the most of this school is the liberal atmosphere and progressive-ish curriculum
western washington university- location of dreeeeams and semi-affordable(though not affordable enough), and lots of peace corps involvement </p>
<p>but i can’t decidee which to kick off the list. if anything maybe one of the two tx schools but my parents really would prefer me to stay here… </p>
<p>i plan on going into psychology, ideally neuroscience but schools that offer that are scarce, sat 2260, gpa 3.9/4.5 since people on here always ask for stats… are there any schools on here i should rule out?</p>
<p>6 is the ideal amount according to my counselors. Unfortunately for me, I have 2 reach schools, 1 school I’m puting all my hopes into(terrible I know), and 1 safety which I have guaranteed admission.</p>
<p>Well I’m pretty sure that when applying to Texas schools (I also live here, in San Antonio as a matter of fact) that you create an applyTexas account and then just click which places you would like to sen off your app to so that eliminates one right there because you won’t have to make two apps for your Texas schools. But you could double check on that to be sure.</p>
<p>6 isn’t too many… in fact if you have a couple more in mind (especially liberal arts colleges if you like Brown’s atmosphere) I’d recommend you give them a shot.</p>
<p>if you’re asking about WWU, you’re pretty much guaranteed not only to be accepted, but to be in their honors program as well. I don’t know if they have merit scholarships so you should look, but if they do you’d be a very strong candidate for a hefty one as well. Brown’s a crapshoot with their single-digit acceptance rate but your SAT scores put you well in range for admission!</p>
<p>wwu has a nice sounding merit scholarship along with admission into the honors program if you are in the top 1% of their incoming freshman class, which i don’t know if i am. but it doesn’t say how much the amount is if you get that… so i don’t know really if i’d be able to go there if i did get in, i’m relying heavily on merit aid only. another reason why brown is wishful thinking. but people keep telling meee ivy league schools give more aid than you’d think so long as you can get in soo</p>
<p>i probably won’t be applying to anymore because the app fees for all of these is already around approx 250 dollars which is not a small number really to me…</p>
<p>I think there’s a good chance you’d be in the top-1% of their incoming class. well, how about UT then, assuming you’re in the top decile of your class?</p>
<p>i was considering the ut campus at austin but i visited it and felt really uncomfortable there the people weren’t very friendly… i liked the city, but the school itself i don’t think is for me, and i’d be more above average at utsa i thinksss</p>
