Is this a good academic plan for my desired career?

I want to work as a science educator; similar to the sense that Sal Khan is. The plan I want to pursue is the following. Let me know what your tips are or if you know anyone who has followed a similar plan:

1- BA in mathematics (in progress)
2- MA in mathematics (future), BA in physics (future)
3- MA in physics (future), BA in chemistry (future)

Does this sound like a good plan? I want to teach mainly math and physics, but I think a lot of people need help in chemistry as well. So, if I were to get the following degrees, I would become better equipped to teach science to high school and college students or even tutor. I am not sure if I want to pursue the PhD path because of the strenuous competition, but for now this is my plan.

What do you want to do specifically? You need certification to teach in most US schools (i.e., all public schools and a lot of private schools).

I want to be a science teacher at the community college level.
