I’m a first year student planning on transferring to the main campus, and I’m just exploring possible career interests. The classes that I am taking are Sociology, Philosophy, and Economics. I’m taking those since they would fit into almost any majors, and a lot of the other classes have already been filled.

But I feel a bit worried because I don’t want to do too much reading and writing.

You may end up doing a lot of writing in Sociology and Philosophy…but my advice is to go on ratemyprofessors.com and look up your classes by the profs…former students note what type of class it was (hard/easy, notes/book) etc. You may find that helpful. My son thought that Econ was tough (lots of memorization) and odd test questions.

Hope that helps. Good luck in your first year in Columbus!!!

That’s great to hear! That sounds like a much better choice. I am a big believer in taking a breather on the first quarter of a new year or new school…it is not worth being stressed out!
