Is this a good idea? [supplimental website?]

I’m making a website to give to admissions along with my application (I’m going to be gone until the day before school starts and I’m leaving in about three weeks, so I thought I’d go ahead and start in on the bits of the application that stay the same). I’m putting some of my short stories on it and thinking about adding some of my art. Is this a good idea? Has anyone else done this?

Sounds good to me. Put your best work where it is most accessible - note in your app the story you would most like them to read.

And on a technical note … check your website under the standard browsers. IE and Foxfire sometimes render pages in surprisingly different fashions!

And - proof all web material for spelling. My spelling is dreadful so I always have to have my work proofed.

I’m actually having problems making it display right in internet explorer. I hate IE. -kicks it-

This sounds like a very good idea. Go for it.

And yes, as every good web developer knows, IE sucks. Ptooey.

Try changing the order of the markups in your text or css - shouldn’t matter but sometimes it does. My son makes fun of me when I use IE. Go to this Chicago page with IE and you will get a good laugh …
