<p>I agree they don’t have the numerical stats to rank them with the top schools; I just wanted to point out that they do provide a similar experience with rigorous academics.</p>
<p>I think the perceived issue with NMH by many is because they are not as selective in the admissions process, the school is not as strong academically. However, as keylyme has stated, once you’re there, the academic experience is comparable to any of the “top” schools.</p>
<p>The school is often seen as “different”, but as many have mentioned before, fit is most important in school selection (even over rankings). Not everone seeks a highly competitve, intense environment, but they still want to learn. I also think many on this board are in the significant minority, since most 13-15 year olds are typically not as driven as many here. </p>
<p>In general, I think it’s not that NMH students aren’t driven, they typically seeking a less stressful environment compared to most of the “top” schools.</p>
