Is this a good sampling for recs?

I’m planning on applying ED to NU in the fall and just wanted your opinion on this. I know they only require one teacher recommendation, but I am going to opt for three total recs.

Physics teacher - taught me for two years (the second year was Physics II, a class in which only one third of the class passed the final).

Journalism adviser - knows me the best (personality aspect).

Superintendent - has plenty of anecdotes regarding my efforts to keep the public informed about his financial campaign through our student newspaper.

Is this a solid selection for recs or do you think it lacks the academic angle? Thanks a lot.

That’s a perfectly sound approach.
Good luck!

Okay. Thanks.

One more question: Is it okay if I mix online and offline recs (I am applying online via Common App)? The teacher and adviser can obviously submit online and use the Common App’s evaluation form, but is it acceptable for the superintendent to just send a physical letter to the school?
