So I am going to a new school for my senior year of high school because my school got closed down by the Sisters of the Divine Compassion (Ironic right). Anyways, I want to talk about the fight to keep it open and how this impacted me as a person and my identity as a whole (Yes it touched me that much). So what do you think?

Your topic sounds very interesting!! I think it’s a great topic. I wouldn’t change it.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Keep the irony out. It will read as bitterness.
  • Make sure the vast majority of your essay is on YOU, not on your school. A little about what you did, but a LOT about the growth you experienced because of this event. Remember the mantra: “Give them a reason to say yes!!”
