Is this a good transfer rate?

Is a school with a 45-50% transfer acceptance rate considered a “safe school”?

That’s a relatively high transfer rate. However, it still depends on how your academic record compares in relation to who the school accepts. For example, if the average transfer gpa is 3.5 and yours is 2.8, your likelihood of acceptance may be considerably lower than 50% and shouldn’t be considered a safety.

And there are other factors that might be involved too, such as IS vs. OOS if it’s a public.

My cumulative GPA at my current univ right now is a 3.9 with 27 credits completed and ill be in-state
