Is this a mistake on the Cornell Financial Aid App?

Under Page 2 of the Cornell Financial Aid App, for the “If the student’s parents are divorced or separated, or were never married:” It asks the amount of child support received by the custodial parent for 2005. Shouldn’t this be “noncustodial parent,” as it later asks for 2006-2007. If this isn’t a mistake, it would be kind of weird asking for a dollar figure for the child support of the custodial parent.

It is correct: custodial is whom you live with…it is usually the non-custodial who pays the parent where the child is living.

ahh, I wasn’t thinking, thanks.

You are just stressed about yet more forms and not wanting to make an error which will then cause problems for your family…don’t worry.
