Hi I received this in an e-mail and was wondering if it is real.

Yes. They are real. DS got a lot of those via email and mail in senior year of HS.

Hold it. Check with college first. You can avoid that email entirely and go on-line at the college’s own site and fill out an application without any need of a password. I cannot tell if what you got is legitimate but it raises a concern when it says you will be sending all the information to an email for “stephanie_wong94” at “yahoo.com” and it is the same person/email for both colleges Universities do not use “yahoo.com” email addresses. So unless that email is referring to you I would call the college before I would go and fill out an application that would provide your name, address, and social security number.

STEPHWONG, Please keep in mind that while there are such applications out there, an email address should not appear on the application. The application should come directly from the school, but perhaps come as an attachment in their email from their admissions or counselors. If you’re unsure, it is best to call the school to find out.

Thank you so much for your knowledge! I will call the school.

Schools normally have the edu domain. The links you posted don’t. In fact, the University of the Pacific web site is: [University of the Pacific - Stockton, San Francisco, Sacramento](http://web.pacific.edu/).
