is this a rigorous courseload?

9th grade- English 1 honors, World Geo. Honors, Algebra 2 Honors, Biology 1 Honors, PE, Strings, French 2

10th grade- English 2, Calc AB AP, Civics/Free Enterprise Honors, Chemistry Honors, French 3 Honors, PE, Strings

11th grade- English 3 Honors, American History Honors, Discrete Math Honors, Physics 1 Honors, PE, Strings, Intro to Basic Computer Apps

12th grade- Calc BC AP, Chemistry 2 AP, Chemistry 2 AP Lab, English 4 (H or AP), Strings Honors

I wasnt able to take any AP classes in my junior year because of schedule conflicts. I wasn’t able to take English 2 Honors in my soph year cause of schedule conflicts.

Will that count against me?

Taking AP Calc in your sophomore year looks really good. At my school, the counselors make us go through Pre-Calc and Calc (which makes no sense because AP Calc AB is a reviews of Calc) before we can go into AP Calc. Junior year is really weak though. That will probably hurt you, but you are taking AP’s in senior year. I would just suggest to take AP English to bring your total amount of AP’s to five.

I would say average.

Have your guidance counselor mention in her letter of recommendation that you had scheduling conflicts that kept you from taking AP classes. This will show you intended to take rigorous classes but were unable to do so.

Lol at lebronjames’ location.

Not the toughest, but rigorous enough for top schools. make sure you mention why you were unable to take AP classes in your junior year in the Common App

It depends where you’re applying to. If you’re aiming for Ivies and other top tier schools( UCLA, USC, MIT, Caltech etc.), then you definitely need to accentuate the other parts of your app. Do as many EC’s as you can possibly handle, and score high on your SAT/ACT. I also agree with doptaa, if you can do that, it would be great. Also, self-studying for AP exams is always a sure way to show you can handle a rigorous courseload. check out this link to see what self studying is about; I think you have a great opportunity to use it to your advantage.
