- Study Hall (I'm taking VHS AP Micro and Macro Econ during this period)
- AP Lit
- Calc
- Gym/Health
- AP Stat
- AP World
- AP French
I know it depends on the school, but do you think colleges will think that is rigorous?

Your schedule isn’t extremely light, but isn’t rigorous either. First of all, you have a study hall. You only have 4 AP classes and one of them is AP Stats, which is a complete joke. Gym/Health is another weakness. AP World is another fairly easy AP class. The only respectable classs you have are AP French and AP Lit. AP World and regular Calc are pretty easy and won’t impress anyone.
Clearly you missed the first part. During the study hall, I am taking AP Micro and AP Macro. Gym/Health is mandatory and I have no choice but to take it.
That schedule is fine. My son (who is a freshman in college on total scholarship) took the VHS micro/macro too.
Since gym is required, which you can explain in applications, youre basically taking all AP’s except calc. Good schedule.
The schedule is fine.
Do not waste space explaining this in your application. One can assume that every AO who sees a schedule that has 5 AP’s and gym will correctly assume that gym is required. On top of that, the school profile will list what the school’s graduation requirements are.
@skieurope I do agree with that. However, do you think I should mention that my Study Hall was for my VHS AP Economics classes?
Do your grades appear on your transcript? If so, yes. Actually, I’m not even sure I’d list Study Hall on your application, unless that line appears on your transcript. When listing your senior classes, I’d just list something along the lines of “AP Macroeconomics (taken through the Virtual High School)”
You should list VHS Ap Micro/macro not Study Hall. It IS rigorous. Get A’s and have a great senior year
Many high schools require four years of gym and study hall (my D’s does.) At her school, many seniors wait until senior year to take Health, as well.
Let’s see, you are taking 5 AP courses, AND Calculus. I think your schedule is plenty rigorous.
