Is this a strong resume for Princeton?

I would really appreciate it if you read this-

I am currently passing to 10th grade and my dream college has always been Princeton, do you consider this a strong resume or what should I do more of to get accepted? any tips? thanks!

I live on Mexico, this is my 3rd year in the American School; My first language is Spanish, I speak English and just started German and Italian

I play golf; I am going to start playing in the PGA Youth League next year

I am the founded and teach in the Golf Academy of my school (non profit) I have support from Golf brands in the US

Within that academy, I organize tournaments between the kids were instead of paying for their participation, they have to donate old baby clothes (or new if possible) which I take to an organization that I created for low resource single moms that have no financial aid or insurance for their babies.

I have a GPA of 3.7 (I know it is bad, but I was not focusing much on academics when I realized it was that low)

I play piano on my free time

This summer I am working freely on a retired community by teaching seniors how to speak Spanish

I am the only student in my class taking AP in 10th grade; I am taking AP Psychology( They only offer 4 AP´s in my school)

I am in yearbook (planning to leave it, I don´t have enough time)

Student council (secretary)

Cheerleader team captain

I am starting my own swim brand by the end of this year online only store

I just want to mention that I am not doing any of this activities to impress Princeton, I make time for them because I love doing what I do, it is something I enjoy.

I am planning to study International Business

And that is pretty much it. Do you have any advices on what I am doing right or wrong? Thanks

A couple thoughts here. One is, are you a competitive enough golfer to compete at the D1 level? What is your handicap? Have you placed well in any very competitive events? Building an athletic resume certainly helps with admission if the coach throws his or her support behind you. However golf teams tend to be very small at the D1 level (8-12 on a team) so you’d need to be ranked fairly high nationally to get a look.

The other thought is that it is essentially impossible to give you much constructive feedback without some standardized test scores. While they will not gain you a spot at Princeton on their own, low scores certainly can prevent admission. Everything else on your resume looks fine. Really it’s not what you choose to do that’s important. It’s the leadership and creativity you show in the various activities you are involved in. Most students who are viable applicants to Princeton have great EC’s…the key is what you do with them.

I wish you all the best!
