<p>I am petitioning for admission into Northern Arizona University’s honors program, and one of the requirements is to write an essay on one of two prompts. I chose the following:</p>
<p>“Discuss a current local, national or international news event that has affected your education.”</p>
<p>I want to discuss the No Child Left Behind Act. Would that be an appropriate topic in regards to a current national news event?</p>
