is this an ok courseload (high school) for acceptance at USC?

sophomore year (this year)
AP Art History
AP European History
English 2 Honors
Spanish 2 Honors
Algebra 2 Honors
Chemistry
P.E.

junior year (next year)
AP English Language and Composition
AP US History
AP Psychology
Spanish 3 Honors
Physiology Honors
Pre-Calculus (I’m taking regular because Algebra 2 Honors is really challenging for me)
and AP Studio Art if they let me take an extra class

Thanks
oh and assuming I get an A in all of them except Algebra 2H…

It looks ok but what happens to the science class at the junior year.

Yeah, I’m wondering where’s the science class, too. But other than that, it looks to be good.

^well maybe he’s taking bio or physics his senior year?

like i took no math class junior year but am taking one senior year, so…

He’s taking Honors Physiology junior year.

Is Honors Physiology the equivalent of Bio? Try to get the trio: bio, chemistry, and physics for science.

Honors Physiology (at least at my school) is more rigorous than Honors Bio so it might be fine, but probably take some type of bio to be on the safe side.

I have chem this year and I’m taking bio senior year. AP of course

Haha our schedules are pretty similar. I took APMEH sophomore year, and APUSH, AP Psych, and AP Eng Lang junior year. same with spanish and math.

yeah, physiology would be his science for junior year…

don’t worry, i think you’re on the right path. 6 AP’s and almost all honors classes before junior year (i’m assuming you’ll be taking AP’s and honors during senior year) definitely looks good anywhere.

I read that AP Art History is very hard. Not sure if it is a good idea to take AP Art History so early in high school unless your teacher has a solid gold reputation for being a great teacher. Also, I suggest that you go to your high school guidance counselor office or look at your high school’s web site and find out what the scores are for most of the kids at your school to determine which AP classes tend to yield scores of 4 and 5. I also suggest that you take something fun to balance out the AP classes and to keep up your GPA.

I’m the only sophomore in the class and I have an A along with a junior and a senior. everyone else has a low B or C, and some are getting D’s. I just think Everything but math comes easy to me. I’m really struggling in Algebra 2H and hope I don’t have to retake it :[
