Is this appropriate for additional information section?

I’m applying to UCLA and UCB, and they obviously require ACT with writing.

However, my state, Illinois, is either broke or tried to save money this year by taking out the writing section of the State ACT test, the one we take with the school.
The problem is that I got my highest score in the state test, and because it doesn’t have writing, I can’t send it to UC schools(I called them.)
I was wondering if it is okay to put that my state doesn’t offer writing section on school ACT, and that I have a higher score on that test? Would it be okay to put that in the additional info section? Or would the college admission people be annoyed at me.

Sorry if some of it is hard to read, it’s real late and my eyes are having trouble staying open.
Thanks!

How about sending both sets of scores? You can’t send ONLY the test without writing, but you should be able to send both scores, and they can speak for themselves. You’ve already saved money by having the school pay for the testing, but your own money into the game by paying to send 2 scores, but understand the UC schools might still ignore the better scores because they were for a different form of the test. That’s their choice.

I called them and they told me that they do not care that our state does not have writing and will not accept the scores. Money is not the problem here, I have already sent both scores anyway. I hope they will see both. I got a 34 for state and 31 with writing… I want to major in engineering so I really need all the help I can get. :/
