Is this appropriate for revisit day?

I know there’s a thread on this already, but I need feedback on this specific outfit. I’m going to Blair and Tabor this week. I think I’m going to wear a white halter dress with flowers on it, a white shrug, and off white opened toed heels. The only problem is the dress is four inches above my knee. Is that too short? It really doesn’t look too short because it’s all ruffly on the bottom, but the last thing I want to do is look risque.

Also, I’m worried about the rain. Should I wear a different dress and boots? But I really don’t want to wear boots because it’s spring…

Ughh.

NO WAY!!! Just kidding  Don’t worry about it, it’ll be fine :)

It’s stopped raining and the weather is really nice

that doesn’t seem too short but it seems a bit too formal  Personally, I’d go for slacks or something (non jeans) and a nice shirt, but hey

Go by the dress code of the school. If your dress is four inches above the knee, I don’t think it will work for Tabor, I found this on the Tabor website: ([Tabor Academy ~ Dress Code](http://www.taboracademy.org/podium/default.aspx?t=124734))

Tabor Academy requires a neat and clean appearance at all times as well as professional and proper dress during the academic day. Informal dress after the academic day, on weekends and at other free times is expected to be neat, clean and tasteful, while at the same time allowing for comfort and individuality.

The formal dress code for boys: Sport coat or blazer with dress slacks (or tailored shorts in warm weather), dress shirt and tie, belt, socks and dress shoes.

The formal dress code for girls: Either (1) dress or skirt (no culottes) and blouse / sweater / turtleneck, or (2) dress slacks (slacks must have pockets set-in; no rivets) with a blouse or collared shirt and blazer, shoes or dress boots. Capri pants and “pedal-pushers” are not part of the approved formal dress code. Dresses or skirts must be knee-length. This means, the lower hem of the skirt or dress must touch or cover a portion of the knee when you are standing. If a girl elects to wear slacks, she must also wear the Tabor style Blazer. The Tabor Blazer may be purchased from The Blazer Depot (1-888-322-7469; blazerdepot.com; see Winsor style, Madison style or Park Avenue style) or it may be of similar style from another company.

Bama girl, we visited Tabor Friday, and it was great. My daughter wore a skirt, blouse, blazer and boots. Most girls were in flirty and frilly (lots of halter dresses), so you’ll fit in. And yes, Tabor’s rule book says nothing above the knee, but that rule is flexed by many, many girls, and the woman who toured my parent group said they (the fac/staff) realize that it’s hard to buy longer skirts.
Tabor is so beautiful – breathtaking in Friday’s unseasonably warm weather. Who wouldn’t want to live in Marion?
Tell your mom, however, to wear good walking shoes. Parents tour, and are on their feet most of the time.

Yikes! I’m wearing jeans to Andover visit. I know they have a weak dress code but is this okay?

Blair has a casual dress code. Look at what some of the girls are wearing in the viewbookhttp://www.blair.edu/Admissions/viewbook/BlairViewbook2009.pdf

While I’m not familiar with the written dress code for girls, I think what you are describing is fine. Will you retain some modesty when seated or walking up stairs? Then it’s probably fine.
