<p>Like would someone with these stats be considered a “10/10” in terms of academics() in the eyes of admission officers</p>

<p>nah, ive seen better. more like a 9.5/10. Plus, i think you need a 4.0 to be even considered for the 10/10 category. But thats just my opinion.</p>

<p>^oh in terms of admissions officers…At any ivy league school, probably not. At a lower school, then yes.</p>

<p>That would be considered a 9 /10, not because there are any blemishes, but because there isn’t any original academic products (research, publications, competition wins, etc. etc.) But dude, that’s amazing haha.</p>

<p>ok thanks a lot, I didnt include competitions and publications because i assumed they would fall more into Ec’s… but USABO semifinalist, USAPHO finalist Silver, USACO semifinalist… He is Captain of his school’s Science Bowl Team which is highly competitive btw thats why lol… qualified for AIME but didnt do too well on it</p>

<p>Seems really science and math heavy, so I’d give it an 8 or 8.5 out of 10, 10 being the perfect applicant. To me, the “ideal” applicant would be someone who succeeds in all areas of academics, so you’d have to have more liberal artsy accomplishments.</p>

<p>That is a straight up 9.5; Ivy league adcoms don’t care about well roundedness to the nth degree, they just want to see excellence in all disciplines and something special in a certain field (this case being the sciences)</p>
