Is this considered plagarism?

I am thinking about using my Theory of Knowledge essay, for a college essay. The theroy of knowledge essay is my own work (not plagarised) but if I use it for the university essay and the amdissions officer realises these are one of the 10 topics for TOK, am I by any way disadvantaged>

Curious. I did Knowledge and Inquiry, the A Level equivalent of TOK, and a normal KI essay would be about 1000 to 1200 words. The independent study is around 3000 words long. Most college app essays I’ve come across ask for no more than 800, and often recommend 500-600 words. How long is your essay, and which schools are you applying to?

The other thing I’d be concerned about is, while some TOK essays (ethics essays particularly come to mind) may reflect your beliefs, they may not necessarily tell the adcom anything about you beyond the fact that you have a good brain, which they will know from your TOK grade anyway. It wouldn’t help present another aspect of you, if you know what I mean.

If you’ve considered the above and my concerns aren’t relevant to your situation, then no, it’s not plagiarism. I can’t say if you’ll be “disadvantaged” on account of having “plagiarized” - I doubt it though.
