Is this considered to be international background?

Hi everyone~
I m an international student from Japan.
I’m now studying in a school in Japan ran by Canadian Education Ministry.
Basically, all the teachers and the principal are from Canada and the dipoma i get is from Vancouver, Canada.

Recently, it occured to me that international background is a factor for the college admission. Some of my classmates have been abroad and some of them go to U.S for high school.

However, I have NEVER been abroad before.
I am wondering wheter my situation is considered as international background or not. I mean, does my school and diploma help me set up an international background?

I think that can definitely be considered international background.

Really?
Any other opinion?

Can you clarify what you mean by “international background”? First of all, if you’re already an international student, then I would assume that any adcom would consider you having a fair amount of “international background”…
