is this correct?

i was just going through emory university at collegesearch and there they claim that need based aid is given on the basis of religious affiliation.
i have done quite some research about Emory university and never came upon this- often the information on college search is incorrect, so i wanted to know whether this is true or not?

this was given there:

Financial Aid Distribution
Percent of total undergraduate aid awarded as:
Scholarships / grants: Not Reported
Loans / jobs: Not Reported
Non-need-based aid
determined by:
Academics
Art
Leadership
Music/Drama
Religious Affiliation
State/District Residency

Need-based aid
determined by:
Religious Affiliation

Scholarship opportunities:
Emory Scholars program; two-thirds tuition to full-cost; based on academic merit of incoming first-year students, requires nomination by appropriate high school official by November 1st of senior year; renewable for four years of undergraduate study.

that is incorrect. need-based aid is not determined from religious affiliation in any way. it is solely on how much they estimate your family can pay.

I do know on the CSS profile, they ask for your religious affiliation, but someone said that was for endowed scholarships that might require a specific religion.

Emory is a Methodist school, so there are non-need based scholarships available for some students who are Methodist, though I’m not exactly sure on the details. One of my friends has one though.
