Is this going to hurt me badly

This is what I got for my junior first semester grades.
B Regular English
B Honors Precalculus
D Yearbook
A AP US history
A AP Bio
A Sports Medicine

Yearbook doesn’t go into college GPA because it isn’t a weighted class. So I have a 4.2 weighed and 3.6 unweighted but colleges will still see that I got a D. And my school GPA will be a 3.66 weighted and 3.16 unweighted. Is this going to be a big problem for college admissions for UC San Diego, Irvine, or Davis? Also, would this hurt my chances for internship at places like Stanford Medical or Maryland University because they ask for my school GPA and a copy of my high school transcript.

How did you get a D in yearbook?

I made up a story about someone to try to get an A and got busted

I almost had the same problem this past sem where I got a C in leadership. Turns out it was actually a B and I was totally fine. Buut, in my stressful ranting, I was talking to my AVID teacher about it and from experience he told me that because it’s not a college prep or ap or even ACADEMIC class, that as long as you do great in your academic classes, it shouldn’t hurt you. Key word there is “shouldn’t”. It’s not a guaruntee, and you shouldn’t bet money on it, but it is a bit of a relief. And like KoreanBoi92 said, how the heck did you get a D in yearbook??

mann, that sucks. Yearbook is tough, but usually worth the A

i’m currently in yearbook and also and the deadline stress is killing me.

Oh… well I would take the D over an “academic dishonesty” scar on your transcript and record any day.

do yourself a favor and don’t make stuff up

I got a D in high school and here I am so a D certainly isn’t going to be a thing that ruins you.

That said… you’re an idiot for making things up and perhaps by all rights it should bite you in the ass and cause you to get rejected. Who cares if you got a D, the biggest issue is you’re an unethical prick.

And that’s what you should be more concerned with.

Unfortunately they haven’t developed a good test for determining whether someone is an unethical prick, so the likelihood that it will affect your admission is low. UCSD is admission by numbers, if it factors into your GPA, it will have a corresponding effect on your comprehensive review score and if you were borderline it could push you far down enough to cause your application to fail.

Sports Medicine…lol I took that class in high school. it was the biggest waste of time ever.
