Is this gonna leave a bad impression?

I've been playing tennis for 4 years. I included this on the Activity section.

The thing is, I'm wondering if (given the fact that I've been playing tennis for so long) not contacting the coaches at the schools I'm applying or trying to be recruited...will give the Admission Officers a bad impression?

In all honesty, I just started playing tennis for fun. I never planned on becoming the next (insert tennis champion here :P)...And frankly, I'm not really that good at it, I just do it because I like it and because I wanna stay active. So now I'm just wondering if it would be better to remove this from my Activity section...

Thanks.

I think it’s fine. It shows that you have a hobby/an activity that you enjoy and are active outdoors. I don’t think it is necessary to get in touch with coaches if this is a pastime for you.

Bump…

I agree with post #2.

It absolutely won’t look bad. The colleges will just see that you have varied interests and were able to manage your time while doing multiple activities… While it might help those who are recruited, not contacting coaches won’t harm you.
