Is this good?

And how do I stack up?

GPA: 3.6 (had a 3.2 entering junior year. got all 4.0s from there on)

SAT:2200 going to take it again on OCT. 10. What would be a reasonable score to get?

ACT:34

all the hardest classes in our school except math in my junior year, but i learned calc A during the summer and taking AP Calc BC right now (going to aim for A in that class).

Solid ECs

Really good Letter of Recs.

Essays look pretty good too.
I have 8 aps right now. got the award.

Looks good.

UCs don’t look at recs.

UC’s don’t care about recs…
UC’s value GPA over SAT’s

Advice: your GPA is a little on the low side so make sure your essays are explosive (anything cliche is not likely to win them over)

It’s all about the essay.

UCs don’t take letter of recs. Your GPA is a little on the low side though, and from my experience GPA is pretty important. Your other scores are excellent though.

Your SAT score is fine; you/your parents don’t have to pay another [insert high dollar amount here] to retake the test.

To make up for the low GPA, again, write impressive essays (your English teachers can proofread them).

Anything is possible. I do not think one can generalize that UC’s value GPA over SAT’s. That may be what applicants on CC think but it really is the entire application that is taken into consideration, not just GPA and SAT. You have a good chance, especially with your strong upward trend.
