Is this good?

I received a 23 composite score on my SAT. I have about a 3.5 GPA, which I have worked hard for, being that I have a learning disability in mathematics. I don’t plan on going to any very hard schools. I want to go to a small (1000-2500 students) private college. Would I be able to?

School Possibilities: Wheaton (MA), Qunnipiac, Susquehanna, New Paltz and maybe Drew.

Any Ideas, thanks!

I assume you meant ACT not SAT. Since getting admitted usually depends on more than just stats it is hard to say. However, your GPA appears fine for all of them; your test score is in the middle 50% range of those admitted for Drew, New Paltz, and Susquehanna meaning you have good chance at those (although nothing is ever certain), a little low for Qunnipiac (middle 50% is 24-29 ACT) but still a decent chance and significantly low for Wheaton (26-29) making it a reach but probably still worth applying.

Susquehanna would be an excellent choice if you do not mind its rural location and your chances would be good.

How is your class rank?

New Paltz is not a small private college…there are about 6,000 undergrads and its a state school.

You need to include some financial safety schools.

How much will your parents’ pay each year?

What is your home state?

I live in New York. I am still a junior, but I am starting to think of colleges. My parents will pay any amount as long as I am happy where I go. Do you have any other schools under 2,500 people that may be good for someone like me?

I think Le Moyne might be good for you.

Small…2800 students

[Le Moyne. Spirit. Inquiry. Leadership. Jesuit](http://www.lemoyne.edu/)

ACT mid 50s range for Le Moyne - ACT Composite: 20 - 26

Apply early. Chances for admittance are best when application is received early.
